Tratto is a series of through body, glazed porcelain tile with a hand-drawn appearance. Tratto, which translates to “sketch” is reminiscent of architectural drawings, wherein lines are somewhat linear, yet imperfect. The surface of each tile has a matte finish, and designs are stenciled onto the surface, then coated in a powdered material that becomes commercial-grade glass upon firing. With Tratto, the individual styles (Circuit, Lines and Brick) are modular and can be used on their own or paired with other styles in the collection.
Colors, Finishes & Sizes
Tratto is available in 3 styles (Circuit, Lines and Brick). Each has a Matte finish and a thickness of 10mm.
Brick is available in 2 colors (Black and White) in the following nominal (and actual) size: 2½” x 8” (6.2cm x 19.3cm).
Tiles are rectified and mono-caliber.
ApplicationsTratto is suitable for interior and exterior walls and floors, including heavy-traffic commercial flooring applications.
Installation & Maintenance
Tiles can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. A grout joint of 1/8" or greater is recommended. Use high quality adhesive from manufacturers such as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers’ recommendations, depending on conditions. Clean with a neutral detergent.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT STONE & TILE SIZES:
Product photography and samples are to be used as a general guide. Color as well as percentage, size and shape of markings will vary. Sizes are nominal, not actual. This is a general rule of thumb when selecting natural stone or porcelain tile from any resource.
Typically, the sizes shown are NOMINAL, not ACTUAL.
This means that the tile size will vary slightly from material to material.
I.e. If a material is noted as being a 12" x 24" tile, it is typically a tile that is actually 30 cm x 60 cm. The actual size would then be 11.811" x 23.622". An industry rule of thumb is to round to the nearest whole number. To ensure that you have enough material for any project, it is always advisable to order a small overage of 10-15% more than is required.
