Tiles have a thickness of 10mm and are available in the following nominal (and actual) sizes and finishes:
8” x 8” (20 x 20 cm)
Tiles are not mono-caliber and are not rectified.
Origami Noir is suitable for interior walls and floors, including medium-traffic commercial floors.
Installation & Maintenance
Tiles can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. A grout joint of 1/8" or greater is recommended. For staggered installations, use 1/3 or less in the joints. Use high quality adhesive from manufacturers such as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers’ recommendations, depending on conditions. Clean with a neutral detergent.
AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT STONE & TILE SIZES:
Product photography and samples are to be used as a general guide. Color as well as percentage, size and shape of markings will vary. Sizes are nominal, not actual. This is a general rule of thumb when selecting natural stone or porcelain tile from any resource.
Typically, the sizes shown are NOMINAL, not ACTUAL.
This means that the tile size will vary slightly from material to material.
I.e. If a material is noted as being a 12" x 24" tile, it is typically a tile that is actually 30 cm x 60 cm. The actual size would then be 11.811" x 23.622". An industry rule of thumb is to round to the nearest whole number. To ensure that you have enough material for any project, it is always advisable to order a small overage of 10-15% more than is required.
A NOTE ABOUT PORCELAIN TILE AND CERAMIC TILE:
