Black, Grey, and Read All Over

Posted under Kitchen Backsplashes, Kitchen Design by on March 25, 2012

Since Grey is the new Black, and Subway Tile has made the biggest comeback since the Boston Tea Party, it’s the perfect Spring Renovation for your kitchen!

Treat your cabinetry like furniture and opt for a Weathered Grey, and let your hard work show and display your pots and pans like any Iron Chef would. Get your Subway Tile at Mission Stone & Tile, and place them in a running bond pattern for that oh-so-perfect look that will create a vintage atmosphere for the modern family.

Not that I have to preface this idea with a sweet a little comment, but you’ll be dancing for joy when you have the perfect kitchen that makes the daily routine bearable.

Retro Rewind: Spring Pickin’s

Posted under Kitchen by on March 6, 2012

Enjoy this blast from the past, and recreate this Betty Crocker look with vintage inspired Atomic Pink appliances! Instead of opting for a black and white Checkerboard floor, go with our Grey & White Ceramic Basketeave.

This updated look doesn’t have the high contrast of the black and white Basketweave, and since Grey is the new Black this lighter look will look soft and sweet with your Retro Kitchen.

Incorporate light and bright cabinetry accompanied with our White Subway Tiles for your backsplash. Perfect for the gal who loves to bake, jump into Spring with this Retro Rewind pick!

Here’s a little inside scoop on the coolest gadgets and easy kitchen storage that you may not have discovered, until now. One of the easiest ways to disclose your outlets to conceal them with an outlet strip mounted under your upper cabinets. Keeps your backsplash design clean, and you can also use the power strip for undermount lighting.

Hide your outlets in a more conspicuous way with undermount flush powerstrips that are recessed into your countertop and cabinet. Perfect for kitchen islands and hard to reach corners, you’ll look like Inspector Gadget.

Hidden pull down drawers and space saving drawers with dividers are just another way to play it smart. Get the most bang for your buck while designing your new kitchen layout, and your custom look will be ready for your craziest food experiments.
