Easter Fashion Revisited

Posted under Holiday by on April 8, 2012

The moment you can break out your sandals and wear floaty frocks, you know Spring has arrived! Easter is a time for celebration and a time to look as good as you feel.

Dyed skinny jeans are all the craze, and paired with a light and elegant top is another way to introduce pops of color. When you wear such colorful and bright pieces, keep things neutral with metallic accessories that will highlight your ensemble!

While your look isn’t inspired by your memories of dying eggs, you’ll look as pretty without the mess!

DIY 1950′s Vintage Christmas

Posted under Holiday by on December 10, 2011

Get on the express train back to the 1950’s and celebrate Christmas the way our parents remember.  The Christmas colors of this era were fun and muted vibrants that you can recreate this year!

The muted coral, turquoise, pea green, mint, and creamy whites will set the tone for a DIY Vintage Christmas.  Check out how you can make these Milk Glass Ornaments, and deck the halls, tree, and hang over your turquoise dining table for a centerpiece.

Our Dot Com Penny Rounds are reminiscent of the past, and will look retro fabulous on your Kitchen and Powder Room floors!  Ask us about their great price point, and be sure you cut a rug this Christmas at your 1950’s Christmas Party!

French Country-fied Christmas

Posted under Holiday by on December 6, 2011

Are you ready for the out of town guests?  If your home and guest rooms are looking pretty shabby, use these chic ideas and your guests will be impressed!  Get the French Country with a Southern Twist look by incorporating Rococo details mixed with rustic taste.

If your guest room walls are barren, spruce them up with vintage pictures frames around a small grouping of photos, or cluster them on a shelf and create a pseudo headboard.  If you are wanting something more substantial, look for reclaimed windows and doors like this barn door.  By combining the feminine details with the simplicity of farm life, you create a copasetic environment that lends itself to a neutral color palette.

Decorate with natural swags and branches, and surprise your guests with French Macaroons!  They are pretty simple to make, but a lot of bakeries are offering this sweet treat in pretty Christmas colors!
