Renowned Nashville restaurateur Chris Hyndman holds the midtown monopoly on hip dining.  With ever-popular hot spots Virago and Lay’la in his line-up, Hyndman is masterful at bringing unique flavors not only to a plate but to a place as well.  His restaurants are deliciously designed to create atmospheres as tempting as his menus.

When Hyndman embarked on this creation, LIME, he consulted with Mary Elizabeth Hulsey to ensure the new space would have all the right twists.  In turn, Mary Elizabeth specified a tasty array of stone and tile to embody LIME’s infusion on Latin and West Coast influences.

The result…LIME’s design is a posh palette of textures, colors and shapes.  With surfaces as sturdy s they are sexy, LIME tastefully withstands the throngs of beautiful people who pack out the place nightly to lap up the Latin luxury.

LIME….another Mission Accomplished.

Wanna know more about the restaurant?  Nashville foodie, Beth W writes:  It is what it is…the hottest place in town right now.   The drink menu is the best in Nashville- these bartenders are true mixologists.  All the ingredients in their specialty drinks are fresh- no sugar filled bottled mixers here.  My fave is the jalapeno caipirinha, cause I like a little spice to my sweet.

I’ve eaten here at least a dozen times and had some hits and only a few misses.   The ceviches and the trio of dips is really good (chorizo queso and guac are the tops!).  I also love the grilled shrimp, which you can order as small appetizer version, or a full entree.  The sauce is finger licking good (or plate licking, but I wouldn’t do that in public)!

It can be quite a scene here, so if you aren’t in the mood to see and be seen, you may want to go elsewhere.  But on nights you’re feeling hot and sassy, this is the place to be!
